لَوْ أَنزَلْنَا هَـٰذَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ عَلَىٰ جَبَلٍۢ لَّرَأَيْتَهُ خَـٰشِعًۭا مُّتَصَدِّعًۭا مِّنْ خَشْيَةِ ٱللهِ وَتِلْكَ ٱلْأَمْثَـٰلُ نَضْرِبُهَا لِلنَّاسِ لَعَلَّهُمْ يَتَفَكَّرُون Had We sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and torn apart from fear of Allah. We present these examples for people, so that they may ponder.

Arabic Grammar

Reading the Quran requires a clear understanding of Arabic grammar because the meaning of each verse is deeply tied to its linguistic structure. Without grammar, a reader often has to rely on translations, which can miss the subtle depth, beauty, and exact intent of the original Arabic. By learning grammar, you can engage directly with the Quran and classical texts, gaining a more accurate and meaningful understanding. This study transforms your relationship with the text from a surface-level reading into a thoughtful, direct connection with the Word of Allah.

Gramatical Analysis of the Quran

This part focuses on using Arabic grammar to understand the Quran precisely as it was revealed. It also highlights the beauty and eloquence of the Quran’s language, allowing you to see the emphasis and depth that translations often miss. By learning the grammar, you can engage with the Quran accurately and connect more deeply with its message directly in its original form.

The Grammatical Application

Al-Tatbiq Al-Nahwi by Dr. Abdu Al-Rajihi is an acclaimed modern textbook designed to bridge the gap between theoretical Arabic grammar and practical text analysis. The book focuses on tatbiq (practical application) — training readers to accurately identify word types (Nouns, Verbs, Particles) and parse complex sentence structures (I'rab) using rich examples from the Qur'an, Hadith, and classical poetry. By stripping away obscure scholarly debates and focusing on how words dynamically change functions based on context, it serves as an indispensable tool for intermediate students seeking precision in reading and analyzing Arabic.

Gramatical Analysis of Ahadith

This section uses Arabic grammar to help you understand the Prophet’s ﷺ words exactly as intended. Just as with the Quran, analyzing the grammar of a Hadith prevents mistakes and reveals important details—like whether an action is a requirement or just a suggestion—that often disappear in translation. By looking at how sentences are built, you can move past simple translations to see the beauty and wisdom in the Prophet’s ﷺ speech. This study ensures you are engaging with his guidance accurately and building a deeper, more authentic connection to the Sunnah.
